This app is great but the only thing that I don’t like is how the app stays in your toolbar and not at the top of your screen

This is the very best Wallpaper ever. Each and every scene is beautiful and bright. Too bad this cannot be had on Windows.
LOVEd IT !!! I USED to get compliments often on my backgrounds and having the clock and weather always in view is exactly what I wanted! …. The only things I wanted to see are, like everyone else, more backgrounds, but also I wanted the option to move the clock and to have more digital clocks available for my custom background as the ones available are mostly analog …. BUT NOW THE APP CRASHES EVERY TIME I TRY TO LAUNCH IT!! PLEASE FIX IT AND GET THOSE OTHER STARS BACK!
I was impressed with the wall papers especially for Christmas! I do have it on all day long and would hope for a few more selections in the future upgrade. Thank you!!!
I thought with the title ‘living wallpaper’ there would be more animation a bit of a dissappointment. Having the time and weather is good… looking forward to more selection with some animation.
This is great app, if you dont mind that it changes the wallpaper every hour, when you select 24 hours. And if your computer goes to sleep, the moving wallpaper is moving in hyper speed. Other than those bugs it is brilliant!
I purchased the "sister" product (Weather Dock) which, I discovered, did not deliver Weather Underground data for the station closest to me. Instead, the app selects only major data sources that are more reliable (such as NWS offices, airports, etc.). For those of you who live near an airport or other reliable weather reporting station, thats ok. But for those of us who live further away, the weather reports are not "local" to us. Although we have reporting stations close by (usually called PWS - personal weather stations - by Weather Underground), they are not able to be searched/used. In my case, my communitys nearest reliable weather source is 10 miles (16 km) away and the weather data are usually quite different. My community is in a wind-protected valley; the reliable station is near a glacier where the winds often HOWL. Tom (Customer Service) agrees that the "user" (meaning you and I) should have the option to search and select unreliable weather data stations. (We just need to be aware that a PWS isnt always reliable.) So the developers are working on an update that will allow us to do this. In the meantime, Tom gave me a voucher to purchase this app and says to watch for the update which will correct this current issue. Its not easy to find apps that can respond so quickly to a customers questions. This company did so. It gets four stars from me for that alone. Ill give it 5 when the PWS option is released. Thanks, Tom!
it a really great app with beautiful wallpapers. im very impressed. i’m currently using it together with Weather dock which also works great. Weather forecast works is very accurate in my area which is NY state.
Once again Voros has brought us an App that has quickly becomes an essential element of my Mac. Three day weather info just sits unobtrusively on my desk to yet effortlessly readable when I need it. When I first saw the big (BIG) clocks I,”well that is going to be annoying.” Far from it! A quick glance at the screen—even from across the room—is all it takes. No more squinting at the tiny Mac time at the top of the screen. The wallpapers are stunning. The beach with actual waves rippling ashore is my favorite. Voros has done it again!
Very nicely done. Footprint is tiny, CPU about 2.3% on my MBPro. I like the beautifully designed big clock and the weather info is accurate (in L.A. at least - a gorgeous 74 ̊F Dec 23 - might actually be nice to have a real winter here sometime). Voros’ software isn’t earthshakingly indispensable (yet), but simple, well-designed, and for my needs useful. I also have their Fireplace Live and Living Weather apps - overkill maybe, but they’re fun.
I really like some of the backgrounds. Works well.
If being stalked by a giant clock sounds intriguing this app is for you. Trust me, you won’t “get used to it”. Complete with a weather forecast that rocks back and forth simulating seasickness. Why did I buy this?
Living Wallpaper has a very nice appeal, but not enough themes (for me). Also, it does not have the ability to function on dual monitors. Nevertheless, I still recommend the purchase and I look forward to future developments.
I love the way this app looks. I just wish it had more themes!
Works great and surpassed what I thought it could do.
This wallpaper is pretty nice. Comes with live wallpapers in HD and it looks good. I like the weather widget with its multiple days and locations settings. You can configure this to work with your own images too, in the custom settings. However, there is no adjustment available for the placment of the clock or weather widgets and the makers seem to be stuck on round analog clocks only. This would rate higher if I could put things where I want them. Since I work on this iMac, their clocks amd weather are behind my work and it would be nice to place them on the side where I can see them at a glance.
The design of the built-in images is hilarious, with the clock sitting between rows of flamingos and settled just over the horizon. The moving water and falling snow make for a very interesting desktop, to be sure. It’s well done. Love it. Added bonus is that you can select a pile of your own favorite photos to put into the rotation. Fun! Keep in mind that because there is high quality video playing on some of the images, your CPU will work harder than normal and memory usage will increase. All you have to do to see this is load the Activity Monitor app from your Applications/Utilities folder to watch. On older Macs with less computing power, this could affect the responsiveness of other apps. On my iMac running at 2.8 GHz with 16 GB of RAM, it ran totally fine and didn’t cause any noticeable hiccups. On the Mac Pro running a 6-core Xeon E5 at 3.5 GHz with 16 GB of RAM, it did nothing visible to the system, but the numbers did show it was a top resource predator. ;) Other than that, it really is a cool effect and it’s nice to watch the scenery change on your background once in a while.
Looks like crap and offers virtually no customizability. And only ten Wallpapers, really?? And only three of those wallpapers have any motion, everything else looks just like normal wallpapers. I can’t even rearrange Widgets at all and they’re all stuck there making my Desktop look ugly. Avoid this app like the plague.
I really like the variety of Wallpapers. Some are bright for use, when I would like something bright. The Snow Wallpaper really matches the outside view I have today. Maybe an option for different clocks would be nice, but not necessary. Maybe additional pictures would be nice...
Needs more new and seasonal choices though. Like a Christmas Night and Day option or seasonal day and night choices. etc. plus i would be cool to be able to time them to automatically change when you want them too. Love the moving ocean ones since I live at the Jersey Shore. and Totally love the Clocks and Choices of them. You guys are awesome and i cannot wait to see some new backgrounds.
